Responsible Photography Collective

The Responsible Photography Collective

Welcome to the responsible photography collective. Since its inception in the 19th century, photography has moved people and enabled a great deal of good to happen. We seek to honor that tradition by serving as a central point to discuss how photographers can be forces for good and how we can do it in responsible ways.

We do not have an agenda. We are not out to promote a certain set of principles or goals. We have no interest in telling people what to do. We are about promoting photography as an art, a force for goodness, practicing photography in ways that do no harm to people, animals, and places that make up our world. Toward that end, we share ideas, make suggestions, and provide resources for your consideration as the viewer. We provide the information, but what you do with that information is up to you.

It’s about Nature . . . but not only Nature

Responsible photography is about practicing photography in ways that respect our world and all the creatures in it. That means the cities and the humans too!
